Internet Marketing, professional writing and fact-checking makes for an interesting combination; interesting at least for lack of a better term in this particular instance. Why would it be considered that way? Very simply it is quite difficult to verify much of the information that many people want to have written. While there are enough examples to fill a large tome, let us look at just a few here. As a professional writer, this is something that I run across on a regular basis.
Testimonials abound on the internet about people having made thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars in only a very short time. Are they going to open up their financial records so that anyone and everyone can see? How many times have you seen those checks on sites? If you take a careful look at the first two digits of the tracking number on many of those checks, they are obviously fakes or they have been altered. So how is that reflective of difficulties that the average professional writer will face?

Okay, as a professional freelancer and a professional writer and a regular user of Rentacoder, I may be a little bit prejudiced in my opinion here but that is only because I have never really had a bad experience on rentacoder and it seems to be a great transitional freelance site going from the dregs and on your trek to the top of the freelance writer’s food chain.

Well it may not be all well and good just yet but I give you my word as a professional writer (doesn't that make me sound more credible even though I just used a contraction in my writing?) that you are almost through with this section ... at least if you have been reading it in order.
Well and Good
Good is not an adverb and should not be used as one. If somebody tells me that they speak “good” English I know that they do not. Likewise, if someone tells me that they write good, I know that they do not. You can feel good, you can be a good speaker and you can even look good but you cannot be good, write good or speak good … you cannot even run good or anything else that requires you to use good as an adverb. Well is an adverb and should often be used where people commonly (and incorrectly) use good. You can feel well, be well, you can write well and you can speak English well … but only if you know how to use the English language properly. Is that all well and good with you?

There seems to be a lot of issues and opinions about the actual job description of a freelance writer. While I have not personally experienced this from a professional aspect, I have heard enough about it from my clients to make it a point well worth addressing here.
Obviously, the first job of a professional freelance writer is to provide professional writing services and quality online content for whatever purpose the client intends. That part should be understood but it bears at least a footnote. Sometimes the purpose of a freelance writer will be to provide quality online content for web sites, article sites or other online uses. Sometimes the freelance writer will be hired to write an e-book or even a print publication.

Copywriting, the True Power of Persuasion
Last Updated on Monday, 08 June 2009 16:54 Written by Ward Tipton Monday, 08 June 2009 16:46
Copywriting is one of the most profitable industries for professional writers. Anybody who has ever written their own copy and tried to sell something without a substantial amount of testing likely understands why also. It takes a lot of persuasion to get in touch with people’s feelings, their minds and their emotions and get them to part with their hard-earned cash.
This is not just about telling someone why they need to buy something or about how great it is. Successful writers have to get in touch with the person on a truly emotional level no matter what emotion or range of emotions may be involved. Each and every product requires a different tact and a different strategy. Each and every demographic also involved subtle differences that are indistinguishable when the copy is well-written.
