What is a “religious” post doing in a section on politics? Read on and you will understand.

I am a gun-toting, Bible-thumping, rural hillbilly and in every sense of the word, the proverbial Conservative. However, given all of the new age religions that are being introduced on a regular basis here in the world we live in, I was forced to re-examine my outlook on life and after having done so, I am seriously thinking about beginning my very own religion.

After some careful thought and consideration, I have decided to name the religion Chata. This is actually a term I learned when I lived among the Latinos and Hispanics and traveled back and forth between the US and Mexico on a fairly regular basis. The term was used in order to put an end to senseless conversational bickering about points that did not matter. However, in their world, it was used to express an idea to someone else. In my religion, it will be used as a reminder that occasionally, we all need to Practice the Art of Chata.

We have all been in situations where there was no possible outcome other than something that was detrimental to the entire point of the discussion.

We have all been in situations where we were making an effort to discuss concepts and share ideas with people who were not open to new ideas or concepts.

We have all been forced to deal with bloated bureaucrats who have absolutely nothing but contempt and disdain for the very presence of we the people and who see us as nothing more than stepping stones to be squashed under foot in their quest for power and riches.

It is precisely because of these situations that I am introducing the New Age Art/Science of Chata.

Practicing the art of Chata will help you to discover at least a semblance of inner peace.

Practicing the science of Chata will help you to avoid those unpleasant arguments with people of an opposing point of view.

Practicing the New Age Religion of Chata will help you to overcome so many of life’s greatest challenges because you will now have the perfect tool at your disposal so that you can completely avoid all of these situations and more.

What is even more beautiful about the art of Chata is that it will not stifle conversation, dissent or any points of agreement or disagreement between consenting adults.

Now if you are familiar with any of the other new age sciences, new age arts, new age spiritualism groups or anything else, you may be under the mistaken impression that anything as amazing and powerful as the Art of Chata would probably take years to master but thankfully, such is not the case.  In fact, by the time you have finished reading this article, you will be fully armed and equipped to practice the art of Chata the next time you find yourself in one of those unpleasant exchanges that was previously discussed.

In fact, I would be willing to bet that in just 30 seconds, the Religion of Chata can teach you how to successfully deal with any of these situations. When you are faced with closed-minded people who refuse to open their minds to the presentation of new ideas, much less share their very own ideas to anyone other than their fellow ideologues or “preaching to the choir” as it were, all that you need is to practice the Art of Chata.

When you discover someone who is so absolutely transfixed by their beliefs that the mere introduction of an opposing idea forces them into a blind rage, screaming and yelling emotionally with no consideration for facts or reality, all that you have to do is to repeat the single, very simple mantra of Chata.

CHATA HECK UP!

(No, “Heck” was not the first expletive to come to mind but it is printable at least)

You may just as well shut up, because you are not going to win a battle of wits because you are fighting someone who is completely disarmed. You are not going to amaze your opponent with facts when they are basing their entire beliefs on a system of emotions and feelings. You cannot win an argument with someone using your logic and reason when they possess none of these qualities and no ability to comprehend … much less to use them.

When you are up against an emotional and unstable ideologue who has a complete disregard for facts, knowledge, logic, reason or any other type of civil discourse, you may as well just shut the heck up, because there is absolutely no way that you are going to win.
