These days, there really has been some amazing progress made when it comes to medicine, genetics and elsewhere in the fields of biology and other sciences. Still, we normally expect to read about these breakthroughs in medical journals or even in whatever local resources we use individually to get our news. Yet believe it or not, this latest and if true … one of the most exciting and amazing medical breakthroughs of all time … has been announced ONLY on commercial television … or more accurately, on television commercials. |

We all heard the expression “Too Big To Fail” used when explaining why the government felt the need to rob we the people in order to bail out wall street and major corporations rather than granting tax relief and offering incentives to “productive” business and other commercial enterprises that would create jobs, increase industry and actually improve the economy. But who is going to bail out the government with these trillions of dollars in new debts and an increasingly weak dollar and economic outlook? The truth is that once again, the government is turning to the productive portion of society to pay for the vast majority of this fiasco. It may do you well to remember that the productive members of society are often called the working class … we the people … those of us who work and take care of our own needs and our own families. We are the ones who are asked to pay for this debacle … we who so many in the government claim they are trying to help. I CALL BS! |

Common Ground, Common Courtesy and Common Sense It seems that all three of the themes expressed in the title of this article have been overlooked the last few decades and now that the problem is becoming so rampant, perhaps it is a time to look for some common ground, exchange some common courtesy and work out our differences with a healthy dose of common sense. Common Ground If you allow someone to drag you into an argument, you have already lost. Still, if we can find no common ground, how do we form any basis for the beginning of a conversation? Show me a man who agrees with everything and I will show you a man who believes in nothing. |

Some things are just too good not to share. This video is most certainly among those. Behold America, the Second American Revolution, coming soon to a city near you. |

Thin Skinned Pseudo Citizens One of the catch-all phrases that I use frequently is the term “Thin-skinned Pseudo Citizen” but a lot of people do not catch the subtlety there even when I am directing it at them personally. The term itself is easy enough to explain but it deserves a closer look at just why I disapprove of such people. In addition, why they are more dangerous than any hundred people who actually have the capacity to formulate their own opinions … even when those opinions do not agree with mine personally. Thin-skinned is an old term meaning someone who would suffer easily, generally from blisters, cuts or scratches. These people were often left on their own and as a direct result walked blindly into situations that could and sometimes did kill them. The thin-skinned person often remained blissfully unaware of the hazards that surrounded them and many shunned any help that was offered. Whether they refused help because they thought they knew it all already or because they were just bound and determined to get by on what they already thought they knew rather than learning what was needed remains a mystery. Those that did live through their thin-skinned period however, were painfully aware of their costs and looking back, would have avoided them in the first place given the opportunity to do it all over again. |
