Do You Diggit? If so, please share!
With Barack Hussein Obama it is a Matter of Respect I read an interesting article the other day about all the bowing and supposed arse-kissing by Obama regarding foreign world leaders and I would like to add this as my personal observation regarding the matter. It seems that the common themes of these articles that this is simply a matter of respect regarding foreign dignitaries and heads of state. This may be true. We did after all, see the “proverbial” American “Cowboy” personified (Though having been an actual working cowboy, I thoroughly and personally resent this comparison and successfully argue in defense of the real cowboys I have known any time this argument comes up) holding hands and kissing members of the House of Saud. So could it really be something so simple and innocuous as a show of respect by Barack Hussein Obama in deference to his “peers” and fellow world leaders? The answer may surprise you. |

A Governmental Conundrum It is with a in the interest of hope and change that I continue to read the news but alas, my hope has rapidly faded and the change I see is more like a repeat performance of a bad movie that has only gotten worse over time no matter how many efforts have been put forth to rewrite it, dress it up in a prettier package and make it look more appealing. Much the same as the mythical (?) holiday fruitcake that gets passed back and forth between family members as a multi-generational Christmas gift and tradition, this story has played itself out time and again throughout our short history as a nation and around the world and has never once produced a happy ending. |

These days, there really has been some amazing progress made when it comes to medicine, genetics and elsewhere in the fields of biology and other sciences. Still, we normally expect to read about these breakthroughs in medical journals or even in whatever local resources we use individually to get our news. Yet believe it or not, this latest and if true … one of the most exciting and amazing medical breakthroughs of all time … has been announced ONLY on commercial television … or more accurately, on television commercials. |

We all heard the expression “Too Big To Fail” used when explaining why the government felt the need to rob we the people in order to bail out wall street and major corporations rather than granting tax relief and offering incentives to “productive” business and other commercial enterprises that would create jobs, increase industry and actually improve the economy. But who is going to bail out the government with these trillions of dollars in new debts and an increasingly weak dollar and economic outlook? The truth is that once again, the government is turning to the productive portion of society to pay for the vast majority of this fiasco. It may do you well to remember that the productive members of society are often called the working class … we the people … those of us who work and take care of our own needs and our own families. We are the ones who are asked to pay for this debacle … we who so many in the government claim they are trying to help. I CALL BS! |
