I initially started by building my own web site but being a professional writer and not being much of a web designer, it did not work out as well as I had hoped and in fact, the poor design actually cost me a lot of business and ultimately, a lot of money as well. Eventually, I switched to the Word Press blogging platform and I must admit that it had many benefits. Wordpress allows you to do quite a bit with an extremely low learning curve. Even someone who is as script incompetent as I am was able to implement it with very few problems and no major difficulties. The blocks and ease with which widgets and other materials can be included made it extremely comfortable to work with for nearly anybody. However, in no small part due to its ease and simplicity, it would not do everything that I wanted to do. Thus, the great Joomla Vs Drupal experiment began. |

One of the most common difficulties for people just getting started in the realm of Internet Marketing is creating their very own products, getting the sales page set up, protecting their product and basically everything else that it takes to get started. This is just as true for me, the professional writer, as it is for any other person who is new to any particular endeavor. When I first began my ventures with Internet Marketing, I was in for a few surprises. At first, I would regularly check my email with an expectation of finding free money in my inbox. Unfortunately, after quite some time, I became more than just a little jaded and looked at opening up my email with more of a sense of dread than any real expectations. Where are you starting? |

What are you telling your customers, clients and readers when you have poorly written products and poorly written pages on your website? Do you think that it is okay because nobody expects perfection? Do you think that people will understand because English is not your primary language? Do you think that people will still be just as willing to pull out their wallets and pay you for these products? The problems you create for yourself by refusing to correct your “minor” mistakes that “everybody understands” could literally be costing you thousands of dollars or more. |

Article Marketing, Bum Marketing and many other types of Internet Marketing stress the importance of the article, the written word and the message that is contained. Most of the people who are doing this are concentrating their efforts on one particular concept while many others have absolutely no idea what they are missing. Articles not only can and should be used for promotions but are an excellent opportunity to get in some shameless self-promotion while generating some great PR rewards as well. No, we are not talking about private rights here; we are talking about public relations. People want to find the experts to get information from. They do not want someone that knows a little bit about something to try and teach them. |

One of the highest paying aspects of writing for professional writers within the realm of Internet Marketing is copywriting. This is not without good reason since the copy will be the ultimate deciding factor in whether your visitors become buyers or not. The sales page will be the last thing people see before they either buy or leave your site for good.
