This site actually started out as a personal hobby, expanded into a small local business and was brought to you here on the Internet due to a somewhat larger popularity than what we expected for these patterns. The idea was also that with the expanded capabilities of the World Wide Web, we could open up our very own custom cross stitch pattern stores to the rest of the world as well. Now, rather than simply creating our own patterns or creating custom patterns for a few local people, we could give the same abilities to the rest of the world and allow them the opportunity to earn some money the same way we were trying to do.

            Now while we do know a lot about cross stitch patterns, we are not the world's best Internet Marketers and thus, it seemed like the next logical step to get professionals in line to promote both our patterns and yours. In order to do this, we have been forced to divvy up the commissions a little bit. As you may imagine, especially with the full size photographs of all of the patterns, this site does use an extensive amount of bandwidth and there is the always needed maintenance and upkeep as well so that we can keep your patterns online and ready for sale. Thus, while it may seem that we keep the lion's share of the “profits”, our profit margin is actually much less than that of our contributors and marketers.

            Why would anybody in their right mind offer people free cross stitch patterns? That in itself may be something of a tricky question but it is not entirely without a reasonable answer.
